Role Summary
Moyo Health and Community Services is seeking applications of interest for positions of AdvisoryCommittee for the Totally Outright Program. The role of the Advisory Committee will be to establish theTotally Outright sexual health series for queer and trans communities, across Peel Region, to increase their capacity (i.e. knowledge, skills, decision-making abilities, and self-confidence) to prevent STI transmissions, infections, and to improve health outcomes.

The ideal candidate(s) will be able to commit to fulfilling the duties of the role until November 2025—which is the end of the program. Advisory Committee members will be expected to attend 4 mandatory meetings annually, taking place quarterly. Working closely with the Program Coordinator, AdvisoryCommittee members are asked to share feedback and insight into the Totally Outright Program activities; and share strategies to improve its efficacy and impact in Peel Region.

Advisory Committee duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to...
• Recruiting up to 30 program participants who identify within the 2SLGBTQ+ community for the duration of the program (2024-2025).
• Recruiting up to 10 program peers with lived experience. A peer refers to an individual who engages in an expertise-sharing capacity to inform or enhance a project or program at Moyo HCS. Peers are selected based on their professional or lived experience and possess a deep understanding of the subject matter of their engaged program. Peers can either be internal or external to the organization, and they may come from diverse backgrounds, cultures, and perspectives.
• A common example of a Peer is an individual invited based on their lived experience to deliver a presentation as part of a program at Moyo HCS.
• Unlike a “partnership”, a peer does not lead, oversee, or manage any of the program development, implementation, or evaluation phases and strictly serves in an expertise-sharing capacity to the organization.
• Support (or share inputs on) the development of culturally and community-relevant promotional materials.
• Support the development of program-specific modules, delivery methods, and evaluation tools.

Please note that successful candidates will receive onboarding training before beginning their term on the Totally Outright Advisory Committee.

Compensation
This is a paid, fixed-term contract position. There will be 4 mandatory, quarterly meetings running for2-hours each. Members will be compensated $20.00/hour per meeting attended. If a meeting cannot beattended in its original format, the Program Coordinator will devise alternative options with the
Advisory Committee member to ensure participation and due compensation.

Requirements
The ideal candidate will possess the following characteristics... Demonstrate and incorporate an anti-oppressive, anti-racist, and sex-positive approach
to their understanding of 2SLGBTQ+, STI/HIV/AIDS, and harm reduction awareness and prevention. Be 18 years of age and above; and have lived experience as a member of the 2SLGBTQ+community, residing in Peel Region (Mississauga, Brampton, or Caledon) or across the largerGreater Toronto Area. Possess eRective written and oral communication skills. While the program is delivered in English,the capacity to communicate in one or more languages is a strong asset. Understand the needs of organization priority populations, including those identifying as women,female, and gender-diverse; 2SLGBTQ+ community members; African, Caribbean, and
Black communities; persons who use substances; and sex workers.
